Has anyone tried the Titanium Heatbreak from Amazon.com?

Like many of you, I have been researching solutions to extrusion issues. After analyzing a few cold pulls, I am fairly certain I am getting heat creep issues, and although I've heard good things about aftermarket steel heatbreaks, this titanium heat break caught my attention:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HN39GSK/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_EYD405P745E0K22WNWDB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

From Wikipedia:

"[Titanium] has fairly low electrical and thermal conductivity compared to other metals."

On paper, it seems like this would help with heat creep, but the reviews are sparse. Has anyone tried this and what was their level of success?

I actually have them sitting in my drawer but never installed them as I haven’t experienced a single heat creep in hundreds of hours of printing.

I have.  I put on a clone hotend to replace the PTFE lined FYSTC - it works pretty well.

@cwbullet, are you saying that you're using a heat break that isn't PTFE lined? I'm curious about that; do you have a link?

The issue I'm having is clicking and under-extrusion after a few hours of printing. I have readjusted my heat break, replaced the PTFE tube (my original one was VERY stuck in there) with the provided spare, and made sure everything was perfectly clean. Now in order to print PLA, I have to crank my temps up to 250 to get anything to come out reliably, and prints with retraction are terrible quality.

@prusafan-2

The FYSTEC hotend and heatbreak are completely lined with PTFE.  PTFE extends all the way to the nozzle.  The one you posted and the Prusa’s do not.

Interesting! I'm looking on their website but I'm not seeing anything that's made for the Mini. Do you have a link?

I just installed one of the Amazon titanium one last week.  So far, it prints quite well.  You do have to trim the stock PFTE liner a bit.  (No problem, since I saved the ones that shrunk and caused me semi-regular heart-ache.)  I'm waiting on some PC4-m8 pneumatic fittings, that I may have to run a 4mm drill through, to come in from an Amazon seller.  Then I'll try replacing the current 3 sections of PFTE and compression fittings with 1 piece of Capricorn tubing to vanquish the  liner tube shrinkage problem for once and for all.  Sourcing tip: The PC8-M4 fittings are used on ventilators.

@mkemike

I have also replaced the stock fittings with PC4-M8. Makes it a lot easier to take things apart if needed. I bought mine off Amazon.

Looks very similar to Trianglelabs titanium heatbreak from AliExpress.
