Filament stuck

Well, looks like I've joined the category of 3D printing challenges. Things were working splendidly since Christmas, and I have been enjoying the Mini+ immensely. several hours ago a print job stopped and the filament is stuck. Load, unload, purge....nothing works.

Any experienced advice from those of you that have recovered from this would be appreciated. Youtube videos seem to indicate I am at the point of having to partially disassemble the machine where the filament tube travels. I've removed the hex nuts and can see the filament that is stuck, and of course it's solid. I did try temp to 270 and run the load/unload, but no progress. Even if I get the tube out I have no idea how to get the cold/solid filament out. Have actually wondered if I can just replace the tube. That length of plastic tube has to be all of $1.29 in replacement value (just a guess). I've spent several hours messing with it...so it would be more economical to just replace. But I have not disassembled, so not sure if there are ay special things about the tube that I cannot see.

Thanks everyone in advance for any help. I'll continue to mess with it this afternoon....and probably weekend.

RE: Filament stuck

I had this exact issue with my mini+ after a while, in the end I took the extruder apart to find the filament had been ground down and snapped, had to remove both end's give all the gears  and good clean of the bits, put it back together and correctly set the idler screw which the getting started guide failed to mention exists. It was an interesting day but I came out of it with a much deeper understanding of the whole printer.

Disregard. Fixed. Wish I could say I knew how, but took everything apart that I could, shoved filament through, and eventually it forced out whatever was a problem.

Exactly. Glad you got it working.
