Tips for moving Printer?

Hello everyone,,

Has anyone here had any personal experience moving their printer?

Am moving mine a few states away.  I think it will get VIP treatment in my car, but I also have other expensive equipment that needs that space.

I think I will plan to upgrade it (MK3 to MK3S) after the move, so hopefully any deformations will get worked out while I do the upgrade.

Does anyone else have advice on carrying and transportation?

Thank you!

Immobilize the x and y axis using zip ties or use string so they don't move/bang around during transit.

Once you are ready to set it back up, do  a factory reset and run through the calibration wizard.

To reduce troubleshooting headaches, make sure the printer is working right before doing the upgrade to MK3s.

I know it might seem obvious but make sure you remove the filament roll from on the printer! If you can put it in a box and pack it round with packing paper or offcuts of bubble wrap and mark it FRAGILE, and THIS WAY UP.
