This approach to release leads to hoarding.
Yeah I think maybe 3 hrs after I gave the heads up the MK3 sheets were all sold out. On the bright side if anyone wanted to know Prusa's stock alert emails do work.
I didn’t get an email, I only noticed because you good guys mentioned it here.
This is the email that I got. Maybe it got caught in your spam folder?
Curious why adding 1 sheet to two rolls of filament causes the Shipping to jump up to the next tier.

Just checked, not in my spam.... what do you mean "next tier"
@nickrno77
Weird. Idk why it worked for me then. haha
2 Rolls of Filament were about $15 in shipping. Adding the sheet caused that to jump to $30 in shipping. I Guess the 2 rolls of filament were just on the edge of the price jump and that's why the sheet bumped it up. Regardless, I ended up throwing a roll of filament with my order to get the most out of shipping.

Ah, you’re in America... they are a bit funny dealing with uk sales since we left the EU. Your shipping is cheap considering the distance!
@dragon1291
That did not happen with my order.
@cwbullet
You had two rolls of filament in your order? Or did you just get the steel sheets?
@dragon1291
I have ordered 2 rolls and a plate and the shipping price did not go to $30. Something must have changed.
Alright just did an experiment on the store:
1 Mini Plate + 2 Rolls of Filament =Shipping ~15
1 MK3S Plate + 2 Rolls of Filament = Shipping ~30
I guess the mini can slip between the two rolls of filament boxes but the normal plate can't. *shurg*
@dragon1291
They must change the process in the last month. That is unfortunate.
I looked at my past orders. I order a bunch of stuff without $30 shipping, but it was not plates. I was confused. Every order with plates had high shipping. Sorry.
I took a closer look at the z-height compression in steps of 0.005/0.01/0.025 in my video for PETG and PLA for the Satin/Smooth/Texture using the default settings. The satin sheet has more of a 1500-2000 sandpaper feel and using a paper towel/IPA to clean will leave more trash compared to the texture and smooth. I'll switch to a lint-free cloth to clean it even though the trash observed was hardly noticeable with the naked eye.
I perform the bed adhesion test in the end with PLA. I know with texture small prints have poor bed adhesion with the texture sheet. For the Satin it performed extremely well.
Only time will tell how the Satin sheet will hold up to the other two sheets.

Mine shipped out today. No ETA on arrival but if it's like my MK3 I'll see it by the end of the week or beginning of next.
I have a Mini on order and due to ship in 2 weeks, with the smooth and textured sheets. What does the satin sheet offer over that combo? I have no experience with FDM printers yet so no idea what the best surface is. I'm likely to only be printing PETG and PLA for a while at least.
Got my sheet in but haven't tried it out just yet. Anyone interested in some microscope photos of the surface vs the textured plate??
Received mine today, did a Z level test with a 70mm square. Z was near enough the same as the Textured sheet Z. Here is a couple of photo top and bottom, the Satin doesn’t hit the print lines like the textured. Nice though.

I've gotten into the habit of dialing my Z in on the textured sheet just to the point that the diagonal 'brush strokes' disappear into the texture.
If I get the satin sheet, I will probably do the same.
