Sandblasting 3d prints?

Has anyone tried sandblasting or beadblasting their 3d prints?

Searching on the net, it seems that some are doing it, and it gives a nice even matte finish.

Has anyone here actually tried this?

Dunno about sandblasting, but I have tumbled PLA prints in ceramic media. The results were not impressive.

If you do sand blast,
Use fresh abrasive media or fresh beads.

otherwise the model is likely to end up with embedded rust particles, from previous jobs.
