- I’m new to all of this 3D printing- I would like to try PETG filament - do I need to change my nozzle to .25mm from .4mm? Also I can’t see any presents in prusa slicer for PETG. Help.
Leave the nozzle, in my experience 0.4 is better for PETG. It's one of my favourite materials to print, but unfortunately you don't get the same amount of details as PLA.
Try running the configuration wizard again in prusaslicer and make sure that PETG has been selected, otherwise I don't know why it wouldn't show up.
Thank you so much for the tips!!!!
Thank you so much for your tips!!!
The main downside with PETG is stringing.
I use the .4 nozzle for PETg and it works fine. "PETg is the new PLA." 😉
Yes, it tends to be more oozy and stringy than does PLA. Yes, I've noticed that if anything, it sticks too well, and really needs a release agent.
Overall, I've had real good luck with PETg, various brands.
