Maintenance Time: Replace bearing

I have one printer that I need to replace the bearings after 2 years of use.  It has LM8UU type bearings.  At one time, I replaced them for several months with Drylins, never like them.

What maker of bearing do you suggest?

I have been working with slide bearings instead of roller bearings for a long time. However, I would recommend oil-soaked sinter bearings rather than drylins. However, you have to print new bearing housings.

sinter bearings like this one: https://caspar-gleitlager.de/produkte/gleitlager/buchsen/50/buchsen-sinterbronze/?option [9]=99&option[10]=103&option[11]=100&number=CA-42565

A significant difference in terms of running smoothness!

With so many good forum threads on bearings, why create another one?

I've been curious as to how long the bearings can reasonably be expected to last.  I think you've probably answered this as 'at least two years' above.  😉

I do periodically use a few drops of machine oil as per TFM, and occasionally a bit of Superlube.
