Pulse induction is exactly how the PINDA and MINDA sensors work. How is this different?

I looked this thing up, it's for printers that don't have auto bed leveling. It is a DIY probe that clips? onto the printhead and has an LED bar graph, so you can get a live readout of the distance to the bed as you adjust your bed leveling screws.
Ah, the dark ages before auto leveling, I do not miss that part of setting up a printer...
