Josh3ddesign's Nozzle Change Tool, does anyone know why it's gone/where to get the STL?

Hi everyone,

I have come across this tool:

https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/3924/pdfs/3924-nozzle-changer-tool-20-prusa-edition-0ede5902-fa67-40e4-b19c-0e3751834e01.pdf

I can't find any hint all over the internet where or why the files are gone, does anyone maybe know where to still get the STLs?

Thanks!

I believe this was discontinued by the designer, because other people undercut his production costs... and provided poor quality copies via places like Ebay...

Metal parts were available from PrintedSolid

I ordered the metal parts from PrintedSolid and printed one. It proved to be cumbersome and I've gone back to the cheap 16mm spanner that came with a nozzle pack.

I'll look for the STLs.

RE: I had the files...

I had all the STL files and assembly instructions...unfortunately the drive they were on was corrupted. I'm in the process of recovering the files. I'll let you know if I recover them, if worse comes to worse I can reverse engineer the design.

Plus there is some non-printed parts that you need which aren't specified to protect the design.

Older version

The version I built used older STLs without the nozzle grabber part. Not sure if that's so useful or not. Let me know.

Is the shape the same?

It might be, I have the second version printed so it depends whether the handle shape and contour is the same. I think it is... so if I can't recover the files it is a good starting point.
