Is metallic, shiny, silky PLA filament abrasive?

Hello friends,

Wondering if metallic, shiny, silky PLA filaments are generally abrasive? Are there some that are and others that are not? I know glow in the dark, carbon fiber, filaments are abrasive, but I wasn't sure about the "metallic" shiny, silky PLA. Do these types of filaments have any metallic particles that could potentially harm my nozzle? Here is a link to the type of filament I am talking about about: https://www.amazon.com/Silver-Copper-Filament-Printer-MIKA3D/dp/B07JMRNHVS/ref=sr_1_3?crid=DUTVBJ5FIAQC&dchild=1&keywords=mika3d+pla+filament+1.75mm&qid=1624284932&sprefix=mika3d%2Caps%2C191&sr=8-3

If anyone could shed some light about this topic, I would be so grateful. Thank you in advance!

In general, most PLAs like this one are not abrasive.  They become bras I’ve when they have wood fibers, fiberglass, carbon fiber, metal flakes, or stone added.

This filament is perfectly fine. I'm a big fan of these silk filaments, they look gorgeous. I buy mine under the TTYT3D label, but their web listings on Amazon look pretty much identical so I assume they're the same Chinese company.

Thank you both for your feedback. I really appreciate you guys taking time to shed some light on this topic. Good to know all the information  you both provided including the abrasive types I should look out for besides glow in the dark filaments. I will check out the options TTYT3D has. I'm looking for a deep, bright, lime green. Have a great day my friends!

I've used the Mika3D metallic filaments for quite some time.  They produce excellent results.  Great for printing steampunk-ish items.

Some time ago on another forum (might have been the RepRap?) they were saying that yes, there's enough metallic content in those to wear down the standard brass nozzles over time, so I replaced my stock nozzle with a tungsten-carbide one some time ago.

Maybe not quite what you want but I just got a spool of Prusament Neon Green PETG -- looks stunning!
