I asked in another forum why this is happening. There is no obvious financial benefit.
Answer I got was it is a bomb with a delayed fuse.
Post as it stands is innocent enough. No mod will flag it.
After aging a bit, and people forget about it, the message is replaced with a link to malware or clickbait.
Would be hard to do in our case - the edit window closes awfully fast.

Which post are you talking about? If it is Tim's, well, he is a respected member of the forums and his post is odd but there are no malicious links, etc in it so it is allowed. If it is a different post, I need a link to it so I can check it out.

Richard, there were several copy-cat posts yesterday. I "reported" at least one of them. Someone has a script for signing in that is working; maybe time to do some handshaking to verify there is a human at the other end. I know this is out of your control, and that Prusa has essentially divested itself of this forum, but maybe at the next mod/admin confab a request for better controls can be made.

I must say, I missed that it was quoting you. Somebody had to approve it from a moderator standpoint since it was the users first post. Unfortunately the moderator tools are limited (to be kind) and I can't even find where you reported it.

And the RoyAragon toon isn't the only one I saw yesterday. But I honestly can't remember the other user id; it may have been the one I reported and moved on - the Roy toon was quoting me so I did a bit of research to see if there was a real person by that name. There is, but I doubt he's a 3D printer aficionado.
