Hey all, I ordered an i3 MK3s kit back on April 29th, when the lead time was listed as 3 weeks. I'm at 4 weeks and counting now, and I'm wondering if anyone else who ordered a printer around that time has received theirs. I tried contacting support through chat, but they weren't able to provide me with an update.

It's sort of frustrating that the lead times are so inaccurate. I'm sure someone at Prusa knows where a given order is in the queue, and could share that information, but for some reason they choose not to.

Their delivery times should improve once we are past the pandemic.

If you have been following this forum - you know they have their hands full right now.

Making masks seems to take precedence over shipping orders - but yours will come.

I understand that orders might be delayed, I just wish they would keep people who have already ordered better informed about how long they should expect to wait. They keep updating the wait times on the shop, but there's no indication whether those times apply to previous orders, or how long the wait will be for those that orders earlier. To shell out hundreds of dollars and just hear... nothing for a month is sort of nuts.

Amazon has ruined our expectations.

But even they have gone from 2 day delivery to up to two week delivery.

I think I know and understand what he mean,

Thats the delivery times are high and lot issues have to be solved in this terrible times  is clear and everyone should ( and hopefully do) understand it.

But a better update and additional a more clear information can help to prevent a lot re-questions or wrong plannings.

just as small sample shop say 3-4 weeks for a kit the special page say 4-5 , I ordered mine beginning May so 4th week is next week .

Yesterday get an update in chat that my order is planed for delivery in 3 Weeks !

so why say 3-4 Weeks ( and in a side sentence maybe a week more ) on a other page 4-5 Weeks . If they write from beginning 5-8 Weeks all is clear and also should remove for new orders . Fact all order's are affected old new ones

And also lot people are much more quiet if from time to time there is a few sentences about the actual delivery situation

Yes, exactly. I understand that there are delays in production, I just want to get an update on a realistic delivery date.

I ordered my kit  on April 23rd and it is still stated as back ordered. I am now at 5 weeks since my order was placed. On May 20th, I sent a message requesting an update on shipping and got a response on the 21st that it should ship soon. I did add a hardened steel  nozzle to my order which no longer shows up on the site. I hope this is not holding up my order as well.

That sounds super frustrating. Also does not inspire a tremendous amount of confidence that I will see my order any time soon. At this point I'm considering just cancelling my order and looking elsewhere. For all I know I could be waiting 6 months.

I’m in the same position, ordered on the 29th April when it stated 3 weeks leadtime, still heard nothing , still on backorder.

I would rather they had erred on cautious side of estimates to stop this frustration/annoyance

Yeah ... I agree with you. When I ordered mine it was 4-5 week lead time. I am now past 5 weeks. Prusa support also sent me a link to this page.

I think that the most frustrating part of it all is that there are people that have ordered after I did (5/6/20) and have already received their printers. Mine has yet to ship. When I placed my order the lead time was 3 weeks. I have not been able to get much info from live chat other than it will ship soon. I am almost wondering if the delay has anything to do with ordering orange printed parts instead of black.

Well I can relieve your speculation on that front, I ordered black parts and mine is also well overdue.

I ordered on 5/2/2020 and have not receive my shipping notification yet. I spoke to live chat last week and they said there had been some additional supplies problems that they had not anticipated. I was told mine should be shipping on the week of 8th June, so over five weeks from my initial order, I guess we'll see if that happens.

Printing face shields is all well and good, and heroic.

I wish they would have the same urgency about their taking my money 5 weeks ago and still no printer. Some might consider that near fraud. Certainly bad business practice.

Live chat just told me that my order “should” ship in 2 weeks. That will take me to 6-7 weeks from the original 3 when I ordered. So for those that are about to pull the trigger on a new printer, don’t expect it to ship according to their shipping tables.

Thats really frustrating... Placed my order on 1st of May. Leadtime was 3-4 weeks. After 3 weeks there was an update in the blog with 4-5 weeks and today (or yesterday?) a further update with 5-6 weeks. On the German blog site still no update. So I bought with 3-4 weeks. The shop now says 4-5 weeks. The English blog post says 5-6 weeks and the German blog post still says 4-5 weeks? So what to expect? And now people telling here about shipping in 2-3 weeks. Damn! I know the current situation is tough but to wait for a product for like 8 weeks that was meant to be here in 3-4 weeks? Hard test of patience...
