I have an idea for a contest. Recycle that old MINDA or PINDA Probe. What ideas do you have for use of that old probe?
I was hoping to recycle mine into a filament sensor, FINDA style:
Title should be Contest Idea.
@chillypenguin
Do you have a wiring diagram and STLs for that?
I see that is from MMU2 assembly:

Does anyone think this could be used as a raspberry pi filament sensor?
I don't see why not. Does Octoprint support filament sensors connected via GPIO?
Maybe Prusa could sell the MMU2S without FINDA for a small discount and let you use the old PINDA that way?
Hmm there are a couple octoprint plugins: https://plugins.octoprint.org/plugins/smartfilamentsensor/
As I put the just-removed MINDA into the SuperPINDA's baggie I had this thought too, good idea.
I haven't looked at it at all, does the MINDA return a simple open/closed signal, or an analog value (which then has some threshold to act like a switch) as the sensed object gets closer?
