8 inches or 200mm x 200 mm is fine for most of what I print.  I need height.

Well, modding the printer for more height is a comparable easy task. You just need some new plastic parts (z-top-holder), longer z-rods and a FW change to make the printer printing 265mm max height.

I can just link the mod again: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2947340

You do realise that a larger printer heated bed say 400 x 400 is going to use a lot more power, just over 3x as much.

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.

Not sure many people care about that.  Just look at how many buy an 80 inch TV vs a 60 inch one.

I do not need a larger printer, but my are thrilled to have one.

@chocki

I have a CR-10 with a 300x300 bed.  I use it more often that my Prusa MK2s because of the bed size.  The CR-10 is a piece of crap and I keep having to upgrade and fix it.  I waste a huge amount of time trying to get the CR-10 to print big models.  The Prusa MK2s is much more reliable and I'm sure that it uses less power.  However, everything that I want to print is too big for that printer.  For example, this is my latest print:

https://www.instructables.com/id/Magic-Wand-TV-Remote/

If I can get a bigger Prusa printer, I can get the Prusa reliability and still be able to print the big models.  The bigger printer will take more power and the bigger models will take more filament to print.  Of course!  If I want to save power and filament, I can get rid of my printers.  If I want to have fun and print big things, I can pay for the power and buy some more filament!

Nicely timed for us in the UK to place an order before this abomination called Brexit wrecks the country, and after which we may have to pay WTO import tax. And don't even mention how much the value of the £ will drop...

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.

I don't either, but it's something to be aware of. I honestly admit, I'm not the most energy conscious person going.

Personally, I want them to come out with a smaller resin printer, on sized for miniatures, sonit is far cheaper and yet high quality.

Pocket printers. We definitely need pocket-sized 3D printers.

It is prism-shaped under that sheet. A box? CoreXY? A box full of coreXY? It may not be printer at all, they can just bring big box full of tchotchkies, some fancy-pantsy printed stuff, or one giant Gumi bear. Then again, I hope it’s new printer model. But it could be anything. But please be a new printer... ok enough. I am really curious.

New printers are cool and all, but it would be awesome to get back to the core ideal of RepRap and continue development on self replication

We may expect a sensor upgrade with a new IR Sensor (TCRT5000):
