Duchamp chess set

Noticed someone on thingiverse remixed the Duchamp chess set so it can print without supports.  Search for "Duchamp support free".

Broke out my old chess computer and printed out a set scaled at 65% for it.

First attempt printing using default 0.1mm detail settings for PETG made the necks too weak and they were breaking easily.

Changing perimeters to 4 solved that problem.

The story of this chess set is interesting, artist Marcel Duchamp carved the set in 1918 and then it disappeared, people only knew about it from a few pictures.  In 2010 people used software and those pictures to 3D model the set.

The original 3D models are a pain to print on an FDM printer, lots of overhangs that require supports and those supports often have to attach to the smooth curved bases, the person that remixed this did a good job maintaining the look of the original while eliminating the sharp overhangs.
