@clarmrrsn

And that is the point others refuse to understand, the common cloth mask used by the general population is an ill fitted one.

Properly fitted masks are good but almost no one has one.

People also appear to claim the CDC is wrong when they say some people should not wear masks and also appear to feel otnis right to verbally attack anyone not wearing a mask. Then claims that people should listen to the expects are also made by the same people.  Odd, eh?

Hate has no place in any society, regardless of how superior it makes the people who use it feel.

Well everyone who not live in Austria at the current time could feel fine. Our Gov. is driving insane!
Its way beyond the question Mask or no Mask. When even the WHO say its not good...

What is happening there?

Hey gang, I think I know what's going on. I think CybrSage's account was hacked some months back and the latest posts are being generated by a bot. Going by the quality of responses, I'm suspecting it's a poorly-written PERL script. If you examine posts by "the Entity", you'll notice a pattern:

  • Constant repetition.
  • Lack of context or comprehension of previous replies.
  • Focus almost exclusively on one or two items in a much larger discussion. It's probably working off a limited list of key words and locking on those.

I suspect this is being run by an organization researching the Dunning-Kruger effect. Unfortunately, the script doesn't pass the Turning test particularly well at this point.

Going forward, my only interaction with The Entity will be to determine the capabilities of the bot. Human-to-human interaction is pointless.

Wow!!  That is terrible!  But with people like bobsto who supoorts hate around, it is sadly not unexpected.  Hate makes people stupid.

This is another example of The Entity not being able to respond with any context. It should be able to answer a simple question like:

What is the third letter in this question?

All of these points have been addressed repeatedly by several participants, but the script seems to have become stuck in a loop. Suggest the algorithm be adjusted to break out of loops after several iterations to provide a more life-like response.

Then simply publicly restate that you are completely and totally against anyone attacking someone verbally for not wearing a mask.  You claim you have said it, so say it again if it is something you actually believe.  If you do not, we all know you are not against it.

Simple, easy, and yet you keep not doing it.  All you keep doing is denigrating those who dare to not agree with you, which gives a big red flag to you most likely supporting such hate.

This is pretty telling and is typical of 1st generation attempts at chatbots and automated response systems. Faced with a simple request, the script attempts to turn the tables and make demands of its own. Those questions have already been addressed -- a human would recall their own response agreeing just a few days prior -- but the algorithm fails to save context.

Simple, easy, and yet you keep not doing it.  All you keep doing is denigrating those who dare to not agree with you, which gives a big red flag to you most likely supporting such hate.

This week, the algorithm seems to have locked on the word "hate" for some reason. The result is a very unnatural cadence to responses.

Yep, you support hate, by your very refusal to condemn it.

You are part of the problem.

Hate has no place in our society.

I do not hate anyone.  You need to ask bobstro who all he hates, he supports hate.

[...] Yep, you support hate, by your very refusal to condemn it.

The algorithm is stuck with repetition of the same response again. I suspect a failed array bounds check. Run trace to identify where the word "hate" appears in the available responses.

You are part of the problem.  The world needs less people like your kind.

Responses would be much more life-like if they would incorporate some patterns indicating comprehension of the previous discussions. These canned responses are not convincing at all. Failure to even identify something as simple as a letter in a sentence is going to be a giveaway in any natural setting.

People should learn a lesson to not be a bobstro.

When responding to comments that don't contain keywords, the algorithm seems to pick from a very short list of responses that contain keywords that it has been trained on, attempting to bring the discussion back into a realm in which it can appear sentient. PERL may not have been the ideal language for this effort.

Do you think a Cat can hate a hater? Cats can purr so loud! Purrification. 3D Printed Cats can move a CAD?
That do you think about CAT for 3D Printed Cats?

No idea, you need to ask the hate aupporter bobstro.  He supports hate, he is your best bet to get info in what all is involved in it.

Or you can ask the people who jail those who gather in groups of 4...

You're in a desert, walking along in the sand, when all of a sudden you look down and see a tortoise, CybrSage. It's crawling toward you. You reach down and you flip the tortoise over on it's back, CybrSage. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping. You're not helping! Why is that, CybrSage?

Or you can ask the people who jail those who gather in groups of 4...

I think this pretty well demonstrates the shortcoming of this technology. It's probably time to consider retirement of the entire product line.
