Using a Cricut for the transparencies

I have a Mk2.5s that has I have had success running of single headband frame. It just dawned on me that my mom has a Cricut maker ( https://cricut.com/en_us/ ) cutting machine at her house that might be good for cutting out the transparent shields, if we can find an appropriate material. She doesn't know how to design things specifically for it yet, and I'm not there to figure it out. Does anybody here know enough about it to convert one of the prusa patterns for the face shields so we can cut on it?

I have a design on the cricut space "Shield (v2)"  that works on 8.5" x 11" transparency sheets.  I use 4 mil to 7 mil sheets and they work great.

Hi there! I have a Silhouette Cameo. Any chance you have an SVG file you could share? I can't use a Cricut design on the Silhouette. If not I guess I get on that.

TIA,

SAndy

I too have a design on the cricut space "Shield (v2)"  which works on 8.5" x 11" transparency sheets.  I use 5 mil to 8 mil sheets and that is good to go.

In a post about a year ago, a Cricut engineer commented that Cricut can only print 300dpi, and that they were working on a way to fix it. I am curious if this has been resolved by the new "use device dialogue" option in the print settings. I know that bc Cricut is a web browser that was part of the problem itself, but I'm not sure if this new solution really solved the problem or whether designing and printing in photoshop is still a better idea. Hopefully Cricut's rep will be able to clarify.
