Issue: I have been running the setup Wizard after a nozzle change. When the 4 calibration points process is running, my nozzle contacts the paper at Point 1. I have shut off the machine and reran the Wizard four times. After checking my PINDA height in relation to the nozzle, see included picture, I'm wonder what I missed.
Configuration:
Printer: Prusa i3 MK3S assembled by myself
Deviations from standard: None. Standard 4 mm nozzle, PRUSA PLA filament, PRUSA slicer
Case description:
The machine can't complete the setup wizard without touching the paper.
Slicer: N/A
Filament used: N/A
Printer setup: standard
Print setup: no enclosure, sits on a shelve in the basement. Temp 73 F and 37% humidity.
Attach files: N/A[caption id="attachment_53302" align="alignnone" width="600"] Nozzle to PINDA sensor relationship.[/caption]
Coincidence: I just performed a nozzle change
You must read the instructions. They explain what you must do to keep the nozzle from scraping. Too long to reproduce here. But those Z lead screws must be turned to adjust for the bed conditions.
And - the PINDA looks much too high -- too far from the bed. Desired height is 0.8 mm to 1.2 mm (I'd have to look it up).
Thank you Tim.
In following your advice to lower the PINDA sensor, it seems to have addressed the issue.
Thank you
