Y Axis self test failed, initially

So I received my preassembled mini today and went into the self test. First run was a hotbed failure due to user error ... no sheet on the bed. Second run had no issues with the bed, but y axis failed.

The first few, slower swipes on the axis were okay, but then the subsequent faster swipes were slamming the bed into the front like it was over running a programmed stop. The x axis was also doing the same, into the z tower, but not nearly as bad. No test failure on the x, though.

I powered down and looked for anything out of wack, but nothing there.

Upon retesting, the y axis did the same, but passed and so far so good, other than some zits from the Prusa sample pla.

Printing a temp tower now so maybe all’s well that ends well. Still, a little concerning.

Best Answer by teesquar:

Found the issue. The y belt was way loose. Tightened the tensioning screws on the front and all is right with my little corner of the world.
