What causes horizontal banding?

What causes horizontal bands to appear (as pictured) and can they be prevented?  Printed with Prusament Silver Galaxy PLA, 0.15mm, 15% infill gyroid.

RE: What causes horizontal banding?

Your layers seem to be really good just like your quality.

Can you feel these lines or is it on the inside? The first things I would try is to increase the perimeters and change the type of infill. Maybe the transparency of this specific filament is causing the problem. For example a black color would not have the same effect on your print.

@geoper2

Everything is perfectly smooth.  You can't feel the bands in the pig.  The gyroid pattern would create horizontal bands even with transparency issues.  Here is a Prusament Jet Black PLA print...

Have you tried increasing the X and Y belt tension? This helped with the banding in my case.
