Prusa Mini+ gets caught on print

My mini seems to build up lump plastic at random times during print. The lump gets caught the extruder which moves the print and ruins the print. What could be causing this? Also, the y-axis has a sort of high-pitched noise coming from it when it moves. It is the same as when moving the x-axis but louder and a higher pitch. Is this normal?

Having the same issue. If y0u found a solution, I'd love to hear it. Kind of dismayed no one has answered you in two weeks.

Pictures may be helpful, plus a ,3mf (Project File) for a model that gives this problem.
Please note, you have to ZIP compress a .3mf file in order to attach it to the forum.

Are you using PLA or PETG?

One cause of blobs is over extrusion. with PLA, the nozzle normally just pushes the excess filament, out of the way, With PETG, the nozzle seems to collect little particles of excess material, and drop the accumulated blobs in the most inopportune locations durind a print.

the other common cause is incorrect nozzle tightening perhaps after a replacement.  if the top of the nozzle is not butted firmly against the bottom of the heat break in the extruder, you will get a leak as plastic escapes up the screw threads and round the heatblock
I don't have a Mini, or mini images, I hope this image will help

the idea is the same for the Mini.

Please be aware that Prusa compatible nozzles have 7.5mm of screw thread, there are similar looking nozzles which only have 6mm of screw thread. (Often used on chinese printers) the shorter screw thread is not suitable for a prusa....  (they can be made to work, but the effort is not really worth it, because the adjustments you have to make compromise the design of the Prusa style extruders...)

I have the same problem.

If it's small enough and I'm lucky enough a very good print comes out of it. (The whistle was a lovely print.)

But this is my 2nd attempt at the sheep...

I have fine tuned the nozzle height a lot over the last few days. I think it's pretty much the best I'm going to get it.
