PETG on textured sheet

I'm having trouble printing PETG on the textured sheet. I'm running a stock Mini+, firmware 4.3.0 and sliced the cam clip with PrusaSlicer 2.3.0. The first fill gets all torn and sticks on the nozzle, failing most prints. I did manage to finish one clip, but the bottom surface was of course rough. The filament used is Prusament Carmine red PETG and the surface was cleaned with IPA.

I have managed to print PLA on the smooth sheet before. I took apart the extruder to remove some filament that got wrapped around the gear axle, could this be the idler screw being too tight or too loose after my reassembly?

I'd be thankful for any help!

That might be under extrusion and the Z might be off.

So I've had a few customer support chats with Robert and Viktor. The latest suggestion of tightening the extruder idler tension by one turn of the screw seemed to improve the first layer. So I've been turning it half-turns tighter, and it seems to be improving a little each time.

I don't think I've ever had such a good experience with a LiveChat customer support!

Prusa Live Chat has Almost always been helpful for me.
the only issue I can recall where they didn't come up trumps, was with My MMU1,    where an email complaint after live chat ran out of ideas, resulted in a new multiplexor print being supplied. which finally sorted the issues...
From the outside, I cannot see any differences, but the original didn't feed filament reliably...
the MMU1 was superseded by MMU2 because MMU1 was not the most reliable of designs.
