Filament flow issues

First few days everything was working fine, but now just under a week later I have been having inconsistent flow issues all morning.  Not sure what is going on.  I've tried loading and unloading and recalibrating the first layer, but sometimes it flows just fine, but other times not at all.  I had a few prints fail at about the 35 minute mark, but was able to print the whistle which was just under thirty minutes.  They fail because the filament completely stops coming out.  I diassembled and checked the tube and the tube in the hot end looks like this:

RE: Filament flow issues

From what i have read on other posts, the little "T" on the filament indicates the ptfe-tube inside the hotend itself has either shrunk or the hotend and worked itway loose down. Checking the grubscrews as well as perhaps try swap in a spare piece of tube in the hotend.

@mrstoned

Swapped in the spare piece of tube and didn't seem to fix anything. Finally did the live chat with tech support, and they had me loosen the extruder spring screw (I think I had it over tightened) and that has seemed to fix the issue.  They had me try a few other things too, but those were all things I had tried before so I suspect it was that the extruder was just not able to feed the filament.  Not sure how that screw works exactly and why overtightening causes issues.  I guess maybe it creates too much pressure and the filament is not able to pass through easily enough.  The odd thing is I think I had it that way since Friday and it seemed to operate fine through the weekend.
